FIRCC (Plant City)

Friday night under the lights with AC!!!! :-)

Connor needed to borrow a Lipo battery to race, he has a couple 3300 nihm's BUT they aren't RACE level batteries!!!

Before the B-main "MRCW" gave Conner a 5000 20c Lipo battery, he's looking to get a charger for this SOON!!!!

===

Darrell is still sick, but getting better, so he wasn't able to be at FIRCC to race. Sent, by Connor, a 4500 25c Lipo to Darrell so he would have a RACE level battery also.

Last Friday at FIRCC Kenny showed up with a RC10B4 that he got from ebay. Kenny has been racing a Traxxas 4x4 Slash! 8-)

The B4 just won't turn or jump as he thought it should. I asked if I could have a look. About 15 seconds in to checking the set up, I had seven bits he needed to change!!! Kenny had time to do six of them, by the mains he had the B4 in the top three!!!!

"MRCW" doesn't always gives a RC away. Parts and an assist is always there for any who are in need.

8/12/11

FIRCC (Plant City, FL)

Darrell's brother Conner had a motor die in his HPI Blitz, "MRCW" gave and installed a Trinity Green Machine 27 turn brush motor. Then we noticed that the stock steering servo was a LOT slow so we gave and installed a AE 1903MG servo.

Conner is the step brother to Darrell "MRCW" XVIII.

As I was leaving after a GREAT night of racn', I noticed a kid that had just raced his first race EVER in ST class. He had a problem with the steering of his RC10T4 during the race. He and his DAD :-) were having a problem getting a servo arm on the servo he had. Asked if I could have a look, they were sold the WRONG servo arm at a hobby shop a few miles away. Out came the servo arm part tray and in just a few minutes they had the servo mounted in the T4 and ready to race! :-)

A side note;

"MRCW" donated 10 Coke 20oz free drink coupons for the top three finishers in each class for the night!

"MRCW" is a GIVE BACK organization.

If dad/mom can fund a startup, its a no.
If dad/mom has a RC car, its a no.
If the kids brother/sister has a RC car, its a no.
If the racer who nominated the kid isn't willing to assist, its a no.
Age 8 - 16

Boy OR Girl

A racer or one of the MRCW staff will bring to the attention, a boy OR girl who doesn't have the funds to get into this hobby, of one of the MRCW staff.
We then meet the dad/mom to determine IF dad/mom can fund the start up in this hobby.
To find out what RC history the kid has.
To find out how they will get to the track each/every other week to race.
We also check out the racer who nominated the kid.
Are they (the racer) are willing to assist the kid in learning how to maintain.
How do we find/determine who gets a "Make a RC Wish"?

Many racers TRUST us with parts/cars to bless a kid with a complete "Ready to Race" car. The staff of MRCW does NOT take this lightly! We list these base requirements for getting a MRCW car, so ALL racers will continue to trust us in this endeavor.

  Basically separate the "Haves" from the "Have Nots"!
"Make a RC Wish" has a lead person who does the leg work getting the info out and getting the parts in, then puts the package together.

If your track has a forum start there, if its a club start at a meeting. Ask for a donor car, parts, tools, charger and bat's. The car has to be complete, ready to race, with charged bat's! So the kid can race that day.

Only one (real) rule who gets the car can not sell it! It's free to them, they can pass it on for free or return it to be given out again (Make a RC Wish I, I "B" & V are the same car).
"Make a RC Wish" is a complete ready to race RC Car given, FREE, to a kid who doesn't have the $$$$ to get into the hobby.

I'm Rev. Terrance, I received the first of the "Make a RC Wish" cars, Feb 2004 my older brother passed away. My younger brother (has raced RC cars for over 20 years!) gave me (3/4/04) a RC10B3, complete with radio, charger, battery's, wheels, repair parts and tools. To assist me in recovering from the loss. September 2006 he gave me the OK to give the RC10B3 away.
