Hobby Marketplace Indoor RC Raceway (Sarasota. FL)

FORGOT to post this last week!!!! :-(

HMIRCR had a day of FREE practice, while I was there a young man, Chris, who was driving a rental SC truck from the track and I got to talking. He was saving his penny's to get a RC like the rental units, Chris is at the upper age level to receive a "MRCW" RC.

I didn't bring everything (to make a give away) to track as I had only planned to test two "MRCW" RC's. Chris has a income source, so I asked him if he had $100 towards funding a RC. He did, after giving Chris a Duratrax Evader ST we went next door and picked out a battery and charger.

Hobby Marketplace Indoor RC Raceway (Sarasota, FL)

A few weeks ago a young man, Mark, received a Traxxas Slash from "MRCW" and was in need of "Race" level tires. The Slash came with a set of 4wd Slash tires, they looked SWEEET but didn't work well on carpet.

A racer, Josh, asked us if there wasn't anything he could do to assist this young man. Shared with Josh that Mark could use a full set of race level tires. Josh has a Slash and I just figured that he would go through his tire stock and donate what he could.

Josh presented Mark with a shoe box sized box of tires, NOT just tires but two FULL sets of NEW tires and NEW rims!!!!!!! This is like $75 worth of tires.

Mark race his first Pro2 SC race, with the new tires, and finished 4th!! :-)

HMIRCR (Sarasota)

Was at HMIRCR for a Saturday night race. As I was practicing, noticed a young man was watching us practice, asked if he had ever drove a RC before. He said he had rented one from HM before. As I was talking with him and his dad, I found out he was saving his penny's to get a RC.

Mark is "Make a RC Wish" #21. He now owns a Traxxas Rustler COMPLETE ready to race.

FZRC (Sarasota, FL)

Erik, a test driver for Brushless Hobbies (BH), PLUS he is a local racer that I talk with almost every time I'm at FZRC in Sarasota, FL., after talking to Stan (owner of Brushless Hobbies) about "Make a RC Wish", Stan sent Erik one of BH 120 amp ESC's for "MRCW". Erik gave this to me today.

The last time we had a MAJOR RC organization donate to "MRCW" was December 2008.

THANK YOU Stan and Erik!!!
